1909
A
trading company is set up in Ravensburg by August Steinhauser. The
forerunner of today's Steinhauser GmbH deals with fruits for industrial
processing. Until today the region between Ravensburg and the Lake Constance is
famous for its fruits.

1955
The
plant "Vitalla" in Mindelheim is bought. Steinhauser starts with the production of
fruit juices. In the beginning two businesses are kept running - the trading of
juices and the bottling of the brand "Vitalla". In 1970, a strategic
decision lets the company give up the bottling business and focus on the
concentrate business.

1963
A
production facility in the South of Europe. The new plant
C.A.S. S.p.A. has
been founded in the North
Italian village Castagnaro (VR). The "Veneto" region between Lake
Garda and Venice, as well as the neighbour regions supply a broad choice of sun-ripened
fruits.

1987
Pioneers in organic food. Steinhauser is a forerunner in new products especially
for the baby food industry. At first, fruit from controlled agriculture is
being processed. In 1991, the C.A.S. supports the upcoming trend for natural
food by supervising the revolutionary study of extended organic agriculture in
Italy.
As a
result the Italian fruit producers and the C.A.S. work close together to build big
organic orchards.

1994
Steinhauser
business locations in America. The expansion of the
north American business makes it possible to open an own sales office in the
USA. In the same year Steinhauser started the own production in Argentina
with the two plants of the
Zumos Argentinos.
From now on the Steinhauser Group produces in
either hemisphere and can take advantage of the contrary seasons, this means: fresh
production of season-related products all year long.

1997
A
plant in Eastern Europe. After several years of trading with Polish juice
concentrates and after different joint ventures, Steinhauser buys the own plant
in Warka and enlarges it immediately.
In 2001, Warka is expanded again and produces nearly on double capacity.
The plant is continuously enlarged .

1998
A new
plant in Argentina. Due to permanent
overpressure as well as walls and floors covered with stainless steel the
newly-constructed plant in Cinco Saltos sets a new benchmark in the hygiene of
fruit juice plants.
